A Good Stay

Recommendation:  by Elizabeth Er

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Families

Although my stay was short, I was very happy with the service of the staff. I had to cut short my stay due to compassionate reason and the hotel staff were very understanding and accorded us excellent service in the circumstances. The spacious room is a rare luxury we enjoyed at this hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay and I will definitely recommend my friends to stay at this hotel.

The Michell Family's stay at the Grand Prince

Recommendation:  by Stephen Michell

Suitable for: Leisure, Romance, Families

Our family stayed in a 2 bedroom family suit which was just fantastic. We had a great view of the city of Tokyo, and it was fantastic to go to bed with the curtains open to the lights, and wake up to a fabulous view of Mt Fuji in the morning. The hotel was very conveniently located to the subway and train station, and also to many dining establishments. The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous, despite language difficulties. It was a pleasure to spend our last 3 days in Japan at the hotel, and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Tokyo in the future.

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Families, Couples

This hotel is in a convenient location and very well prepared for families. The staff was always very nice and helpful, English speaking. Concierge staff helped us every day with arranging our trips and gave us a lot of great ideas regarding places of interest, shopping, travel, entertainment. We were very satisfied during our stay.

A great stay

Hotel is very close to the metro, we only ever had to do one change to go anywhere. Great family rooms. Helpful and courteous staff (had an umbrella for all of us when it rained). Near some great local restaurants serving well priced food. We had a very enjoyable 7 night stay here.

Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka

Recommendation:  by Vivek Kapoor

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Families, Couples

We were 3 families, with 6 adults & 3 kids. The hotel is very conveniently located, only 3 min walk to Akasaka Mitsuke Station & most popular stations like Shinjuku, Ginza, Tokyo, only a few stops from this location. The hotel staff speak very good English & are very courteous. They helped us check-in early at about 10AM. The kids planned to travel with us at the last moment, so we could not amend the bookings. The hotel accommodated the kids & were very considerate too.
In fact all the Japanese people have been extremely helpful & courteous. I have travelled more than 20 countries, but nothing like the warmth & courtesy of people of Japan. I came back very impressed with the courtesy of the hotel staff & all the Japanese people I came accross.
The rooms were very spacious as per Tokyo standards & the Toilets were also clean & well maintained.

Great location for a holiday

Recommendation:  by Bronwyn EVANS

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Families, Couples

I stayed at the Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka Tokyo with my husband and sister. We had a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom configuration and it worked perfectly for us.
The location was excellent for exploring all parts of Tokyo and beyond (Kokunbunji, Mt Takao and Kamakura). We discovered a fabulous cafe just 5 mins walk away and an excellent tofu restaurant in the streets nearby.
Being so close to both Akasaka-Mitsuke and Nagatcho metro stations meant that we could traverse the Tokyo metro in any direction.
An added bonus was the city views from our window.
I would thoroughly recommend the hotel for a holiday or business.
This is my second stay here and I will definitely stay again in the future when I am next in Tokyo.

We found the location excellent, especially when we mastered the use of the train system. The area is very clean and modern with everything you need close by. The hotel staff, like all the Japanese people we met, were very polite and helpful. The rooms were very large and well appointed and our view was fantastic.

Excellent, helpful staff, but lacks exercise facilities. There are a few jogging routes of various lengths. Convenient to good eateries, train stations and Family Mart for other items.

Cherry Blossomes Season in Tokyo

Recommendation:  by Masayo Tudor

Suitable for: Business, Families

It was a perfect time to visit Japan in early April.
The gougeous Cherry blossomes were waiting for us every where in Tokyo, and of course around this Hotel (Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka Tokyo) there were beautiful Cherry blossomes all over. If you visit in May you will be happy to see beautiful Azerias.

*We do like this hotel very much because all rooms are located at the corner so we can get nice view all the time. (We could get the 38th Floor this time which made us happy to see the Palace.)

*We are especially impressed to see the hotel staffs that they were very kind.

*It is convinient to use subway to move around in Tokyo.
Grand Prince Akasaka is located just beside two stations which are Akasaka Mitsuke Station & Nagata-cho Station.
Those stations connect with many subway lines. Enjoy staying in Tokyo Japan.

As it was my first visit to Tokyo, and travelling by myself, I was very impressed with the service and safety standards imposed by the hotel. My congratulations to the staff.

My only suggestion is that the conceirge desk be more informed of travelling arrangements which could be made to see this beautiful country.

The staff is very friendly, helpful and can speak English. The location is very convenient...access to 4 subway lines (i.e. to Ginza, Asakusa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Disney etc )within 3 mins walk. The hotel offered me a free ungrade to business suite at 38th floor with no additional charges...have a very good view of Tokyo city. We have a very pleasant stay and will come back in our next visit to Tokyo.

Thousands of 30 to 40 year old women in the lobby crowding for a view of some Korean Movie Star guest. You could not even reach the front desk. Hotel should have been able to manage that with security I would think.

Too posh to have vending machines which was sad during late night chocolate cravings. Service at Top of Akasaka bar was very unimpressive given the cost of drinks. Maybe we're just not the right people! Good room nice outlook and window seat. Liked the non-cleaning option to reduce linen washing etc.

Despite the spacious room and comfortable bed, Prince hotels are meant to be hotels of high quality - and Asakasa Prince hotel failed to be high quality. They embarassed themselves by charging 1,500 or so yen a day for internet usage in the room, and it cost 1,000 yen to use the pool - with additional cost to use the seats around the pool, as well as the use of the umbrellas/parasols. All in all, a serviceable hotel let down by charging money for services which are free in less prestigious hotels. Their penny-pinching attitude is an embarassment that I have no hesitation in telling to all my friends who visit Tokyo. The room was not exactly as advertised - view was not panoramic and also only one writing desk was present.

The room is excellent from all aspects. However, we were quite surprised that the internet service from the room was rather expensive. this is in view that holtel internet services were offered free of charge (even from the room) in all other holtels in Japan we stayed in.
