Bunkyo-ku - Bunkyo-ku is one of Tokyo's central wards. It is home to a large number of institutes of higher education such as the Tokyo University and Tokyo Medical and Dental University. It is also a popular residential area with twenty neighbourhoods that are dotted with beautiful parks and gardens such as the Koishikawa Korakuen Park and Rikugien Garden. Those who are into tradition and culture should try and visit some of the many temples and shrines located in Bunkyo-ku. Visit the Nezu Shrine in April when the thousands of azalea bushes bloom in full glory. Some of the shrines also organize open-air tea ceremony and traditional Shinto music performances. You can also spend days just checking out the museums in Bunkyo-ku. They include the Kodansha Noma Memorial Museum, the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and the Tokyo University Digital Museum.
