Shinjuku-ku - What can we say about Shinjuku-ku? Sometimes words just don't do a place justice. You just have to go there to believe just how futuristic it is. With its amazing skyline of towering, majestic-looking skyscrapers to its bright lights and thousands of people filling up every single space can be quite awe-inspiring especially for first-time visitors to Shinjuku. Located west of Tokyo, Shinjuku houses amongst others the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building which is the main administrative centre, Shinjuku Station, the busiest train station in the world, Mode Gakuen, an impressive honeycombed futuristic building and the breathtaking 54-storey Tokyo Opera City. Shinjuku is, of course, the best shopping destination in the city with its massive shopping centres that cater to all types of budget.
